Since 2009, Galeries Bartoux and Courchevel Town Hall have been working together every winter to offer a magical artistic getaway. Over the years, works by Grand Masters such as Salvador Dalí and Jean-Michel Folon, as well as contemporary talents such as Bruno Catalano, Lorenzo Quinn and Jiménez Deredia, have transformed Courchevel and its summits into a veritable open-air museum.
For this latest edition of Art au Sommet, we are delighted to present five previously unseen monumental works by a young French artist: Léo Caillard. Inspired by science and philosophy, this neo-antique sculptor invites us to take a fresh look at our times, looking back at history in order to rethink the future. Installed on mountain tops, his monumental sculptures poetically evoke the melting of Alpine glaciers, reminding us of the fragility of thousand-year-old summits and the urgent need to preserve our planet for future generations.
