ENERGIA DELLA VITA AT THE HOTEL DE CRILLON
Italian sculptor Andrea Roggi recently teamed up with renowned Beverly Hills jeweller Martin Katz to create a work of art of rare beauty: Energia della Vita. These two masters, one from Tuscany and the other from California, have combined their talents to produce an exceptional sculpture.
Created in bronze using the techniques of lost wax, dynamic casting and fire patina, the sculpture is enhanced by a gem-set sphere designed by Martin Katz. This 18-carat white gold masterpiece took two months to complete and is set with over 2,000 precious stones. This exceptional work elegantly combines sculpture and fine jewelry, held together by 8,000 points of setting, including blue sapphires, paraíba tourmalines, tsavorite garnets and white diamonds. Beyond its brilliance, it questions our perception of reality and reminds us that true beauty often lies in the invisible.
First unveiled at the Salone dei Cinquecento in Florence’s Palazzo Vecchio in 2023, Energia della Vita is now on show at the Hôtel de Crillon from April 17 to July 12. With its subtle blend of historical heritage and Parisian impertinence, this emblematic palace offers this work of art an exceptional setting in which to write a new page in its history.
