In 2023, 20 million items were seized, an unprecedented record and an increase of 77.61% on the previous year. These figures underline the persistence and scale of the counterfeiting phenomenon.

With the boom in online commerce, some of our artists are falling victim to copies. To ensure the authenticity of your acquisitions, we recommend that you use certified professionals and recognised galleries to purchase (or resell) works of art.
