Craig Alan is renowned for his pop art-inspired works, combining meticulous detail with grandiose compositions. His creations oscillate between abstract expressionism and striking graphic realism, each reflecting a unique and personal vision. His iconic “POPULUS” series pays homage to iconic cultural figures, using hundreds of small, intricate silhouettes that, when assembled, reveal iconic faces, buildings and abstractions. This technique of juxtaposition explores the collective nature of cultural identity, and evokes the idea that it’s the small details that, together, form a great whole.
