JULIEN DURIX

Biography

JULIEN DURIX

Julien Durix, a painter born in Vichy in 1991, has devoted himself entirely to painting since 2012 after two years of art studies. He explores several styles without locking himself into a single genre, painting according to his inspirations. His early years as an artist were largely inspired by the Pop art movement, where timeless icons of popular culture sail through time to create works full of dream, humor and nostalgia.
He then created a series he called “La vie en roses”, a major artistic turning point, in which he used roses as a support, exploring new techniques to evoke sweetness, romance and passion. Each work is composed of 1,000 hand-painted and resined silk roses. The canvas, with its unique 3D support, becomes interactive, allowing different readings depending on the angle of observation.
Finally, her latest creation, a series that is particularly close to her heart: the “Faces of the World” series is a true celebration of the diversity and beauty of humanity. It invites us to learn about new cultures and celebrate our differences. By integrating landscapes from different parts of the globe into portraits, each work on canvas tells the story of a person through the memories they may have of their land, culture and people.
Julien Durix continues to innovate and share his passion, offering works rich in color and emotion.
