VINCENT PETERS
Biography
Born in Bremen (Germany) in 1969, Vincent Peters is one of the biggest names in world photography. In 1999, he began his career at the agency of Giovanni Testino, brother of the famous photographer Mario Testino, with resounding success. He has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Bottega Veneta, Dunhill, Hermès, Lancôme, Nike and Adidas.
Through his artistic and sentimental shots, Peters reveals the untold stories of his famous muses with a simple black and white image, seeking to convey with authenticity the moment of communion experienced with his model, without technology getting in the way.
Working mainly with an analogue camera, he captures his subjects with a finesse that translates into intimate, beautiful and sensual portraits, whose gestures and poses are often inspired by the romantic Hollywood films of the 1950s and 1960s. His use of reflections and chiaroscuro reveals or conceals certain details, making his images both dynamic and timeless.
