The sculptor Étienne has gone, leaving behind him an imprint of rare sensitivity. The artist had a deep love for the island of Ré. He cherished its generous nature, its free birds, the infinity of its ocean, and its warm inhabitants…

In July 2023, he opened the doors of his studio to local media Les Rétais, sharing a fragment of his world before a memorable exhibition. Within the walls of the Musée Ernest Cognacq in Saint-Martin-de-Ré, his works rubbed shoulders with those of his father, the painter Arcabas.

This exceptional exhibition offered the public a journey where Love, celebrated in its many forms, mingled with the airy grace of his sculptures.
