MAX – JEAN MARTIN’S TEDDY BEAR

For the festive season, Jean Martin presents ‘MAX’, a soft teddy bear shaped using his signature technique of meticulously welded nut lace. Playing on the contrast between the solidity of the metal and the tenderness of the plush, the artist offers an irresistible moment of comfort.

 

This work marks the start of a new series dedicated to animal cuddly toys. Working in soft, rounded forms, Jean Martin explores a world imbued with tenderness and soothing. The transparency of the sculpture, far from imposing, makes it discreet and subtle, like a benevolent presence.
