THROWBACK – L’ART AU SOMMET 2024/2025
On Thursday January 23rd, artist Léo Caillard, Jean-Yves Pachod, Mayor of Courchevel, and the Bartoux family had the pleasure of inaugurating the 16th edition of “L’ART AU SOMMET”. For the first time, the young French artist’s monumental marbled resin sculptures were unveiled at the top of the mountains.
“Art is something that transmits a relationship with time; my art seeks to open up a dialogue between the past and the future. What brings us back to this ancient era? From the bust of Hercules, the face of Hera, the Venus de Milo to the mountain-top Batman, we’re more connected to them than we imagine. The selfie is today’s narcissus, Batman is the modern Spartan. We need icons and a link with history, and reassembling ancient works with modernity and in dialogue with the elements, blown by the wind, is a joy and a chance to be here” – confides the artist.
Collectors were then invited to discover new works from Léo Caillard’s “Heroes of Stone” series, currently on display in our gallery.
