At the peak of his art, Bruno Catalano combines his famous signature of the traveler in destructured bronze and his most recent work in mirror-polished bronze in a single creation based on the iconic Benoît model.
In this full-length portrait of a modern young man, whose facial features nonetheless evoke Greco-Roman statuary and whose body is torn down the middle like the entire Voyageur series, the artist has chosen to leave one side of his work perfectly smooth.
Viewed from the front and from three-quarters up, this sculpture reveals only the material of the bronze, polished to a mirror finish.
